About Our Business
I first came to Iraq in June 2004 on a base located at BaQubah. And not
for the money as most people thing the main reason. But for the
opportunity to help the Iraq people regain their freedom and dignity. The
conditions were hot, 144' on walking surface, living out of tents in the
beginning and the seclusion from the loved one's back home.
It was worth it to me, seeing how in America we have the right to choose
our own lives and the way we live them.
After 10 chopper missions, 4 convoys and 17 fixed wings flight all
connected to Iraq, I knew I had done what I felt was right. After leaving in
2005 I knew my mission, my personal goals were not complete.
So in April of 2006 I came back to Iraq. This time to Mosul, Iraq for the
overhead coverage protection construction assignment I accepted. It was
with the attention to make the full year, to see if i truly felt it was worth
coming back for. My year was up on April 27th 2007. I had made the year,
another contract / tour completed, and yes it was worth IT. In all made
over 1000 Red Zone Crossings, 4 convoy - 10 chopper - 43 fixed wing
missions all dealing with my time in Iraq. Worked with LN ( local
nationals-Iraq) and TCN ( Third country nationals) as well as many people
from the rest of the world..
After over 20 years in the oil / energy construction related business, (
construction nick name Batman) former Texas Peace Officer and former
Licn. under Private Investigator and Security, I was pretty much ready to
face new challenges. But all that training and work experience was no
match on working in a Combat Zone.
After seeing no recognition for civilians the 1st time here, I applied for a
Trademark with the US Patient and Patient Office in late 2005. In Dec 2006 I
got the approval for commercial use. So after designing challenge coins,
patches and lapel pins, I went public on April 1, 2007.
My plan was to offer to all those civilians and their supports way to show
they also served and you too are proud to do so.
There is no offical record on the civilians that have served helpAgain it's
was not for the money but the opportunity to help other. As our time on
earth is short and as I quote the Wizard of Oz
" A heart is not measured by how much it loves, but how much it is loved
by others."
I want to think my God for giving me the soul to live, the heart to share
and the ability of freedom to pass on to others.
Thank you all, Frankie Lea Sr
